Restoration activity

Dymkovo toys of the 1930s were restored at the All-Russian Restoration Center. Acad. I.E. Grabar with the use of traditional technologies (hand sculpting).

The next stage of the preparation of the new exposition of the “Shrines and Treasures of the XIV-XVII Century Trinity-Sergius Monastery”, for which in 2013 restorers of the Museum put more than 20 works in order, is completed.

After the restoration work, four items were returned to their permanent place in the permanent exhibition “Resignation Collection XIV-XVII centuries. & Raquo;

Restoration of the icon of the beginning of the XVI century. "St. Sergius of Radonezh" was completed in May 2012. The icon was repaired and repaired several times, which greatly distorted the original appearance of the saint depicted on it.

Among the works of Russian and modern art, stored in Sergiev Posad State Historical and Art Museum-Reserve, there is a small sketch by A. K. Savrasov "Early Spring", made in oil.
